Privacy Policy — Arete
Last updated: May 27, 2026
Arete ("the app") is a climbing-training log developed by Sean-Michael. This policy explains what data the app collects and how it is used.
Information you provide
To use Arete you create an account with an email address and password. The app stores the training data you enter — climbing sessions, problems, grades, attempts, hangboard routines, notes, and related settings.
How your data is stored
Your account and training data are stored securely using Supabase, a hosted backend service, and are associated with your account. Your data is used solely to provide the app's features (logging sessions, showing your history, and computing your statistics).
Diagnostics and feedback
If you submit feedback through the in-app form, the message you write — along with recent app logs you choose to include — is sent to the developer to diagnose issues and improve the app.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not share your personal data with third parties for advertising.
- The app does not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
Data deletion
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing the address below. Your data will be permanently removed.
